Linux VServer Project

This site contains information relating to the use and development of Linux kernel-based virtual servers running on a single piece of hardware. This particular virtual server model is implemented through a combination of "security contexts", segmented routing, chroot, extended quotas and some other standard tools.

Note: Linux VServer [logo design contest] submissions and voting on the mailinglist. Submissions are accepted untill the 28th of Jan.

It is intended that in the future this site will become the central repository of information and coordination. To that end, all current developers and interested individuals are invited to contribute to these pages.

Note: If this isn't what you are looking for, maybe [Linux Virtual Server] is.

Experimental Sources (Changelog)

Experimental sources are likely to apply clean to the newest vanilla kernel. For kernel versions see changelog. If you are asking yourself at the moment, if you should try experimental: Be advised not to do it. You probably wont even notice the advantage over stable or devel.
